As the years unfold, we accumulate a collection of glasses, each set aside like a nostalgic artifact, a visual time capsule. The stylish frames from our teenage years mark the beginning of our vision journey and our first taste of maturity. Meanwhile, the blue screen glasses become symbols of our corporate life. Each pair has a story behind it, signifying a new chapter in our lives. Yet, how often do we notice our old eyewear and think back to these stories? It’s likely that the tangible archive of our personal history is sitting somewhere on a dusty shelf or tucked away in a desk drawer, unintentionally creating waste within our environment.
But, what if we took our stories and gave them new meaning? It’s understandable that we don’t want to part with our first pair of glasses, but imagine having your sixth or seventh pair become someone’s first pair, ready to document their new life chapter.
Problem.
With the exponential rise in eyeglass users, traditional purchasing habits generate excessive waste and unsustainable practices. The current system relies on disposable materials, frequent upgrades, and limited end-of-life solutions, creating environmental and economic burdens. This calls for innovative and sustainable solutions to curb unnecessary use and waste associated with eyeglasses.
Solution.
Modular glasses infused with the memories of former owners, revealed through augmented reality experiences. Customizable eyewear that unlocks the personal narratives attached to its interchangeable components. A unique storytelling platform where glasses become vessels for past experiences, accessible through immersive technology.
Outcome.
Modular glasses could offer stories from past users, creating connections, education, personalization, historical records, and even new forms of art and entertainment.

We’ve created a modular design that empowers individuals to customize their pair to match their unique style, while our trade-in program extends the life of these distinctive glasses by either allowing you to replace individual components or finding them a new home when you’re ready for a completely new pair.
